Born and raised in Chicago, IL. A self-taught web developer with a passion for technology and business. I speak English, Spanish and Spanglish :) I enjoy going to the movie theatre every weekend (Thanks Movie Pass!) I also keep an eye on the latest tech & science trends (AI, VR/AR, Cryptocurrency, Genomics, Self Driving Cars and Space Exploration).
I love being out and exploring the city. So, you will either find me in the heart of downtown or at a park where dogs are chasing each other. So, long walks & traveling is what I usually do to enjoy life along with meeting new people and learning about them.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm currently trying to relocate to Los Angeles, California and get myself settled for the next chapter of my life. Apart from staying at a place I also would like to meet with people who are native Angelinos where they could show me the area and teach me tips and tricks on living over there.
Music, Movies, and Books
Music: I'm very open minded with music so I listen to genres such as: Rap/Hip-Hop, Pop, R&B, Rock, Reggaeton, Blues but unfortunately not country. I tend to listen to upbeat music.
Movies: I prefer action/adventure, fighting, some romantic films and comedy. So, movies like Wolf of Wall Street, Scarface, The Social Network and Steve Jobs are movies I tend to replay.
Books: I tend to read a lot of self-help, business/finance, biographies, scientific/psychological books.
Teach, Learn, Share
There is a quote from someone out on the internet (haha) that really stuck with me here is how it went:
"Each person you meet influences your mental universe in a way that has the potential to make a substantial impact upon the causality of the intellectual development of an entire species."
I solely believe this is true as many greats have traveled and met with several different kinds/types of people which only made them more wiser and knowledgeable.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can teach my hosts how to code/program, how to get into cryptocurrency(Bitcoin/Ethereum etc) and Spanish. I also tend to help out around the house with chores and provide a stipend of $50 a week for groceries.
(Note: The max I stay at a place is 2 weeks.)
