About Me
"All that glistens, is just a mirage. All that's golden, is only the here and now." --KFC employee in Tokyo
Born in Vietnam, currently based in United States. I'm responsible, friendly, flexible, adventurous, a life-long learner of... Life haha! I enjoy meeting new people. I love learning about different cultures, perspectives, subjects.
Since 2019, I have been living a semi-nomadic lifestyle, exploring and meandering. Currently, I travel 2-3 months at a time, staying at 1 new city every 7-14 days. I try to take it slow, just as fast as I can. I usually go back to my home to rest and recover for 2-3 months, spend time with family, focus on my work, and then go explore again for another 2-3 months.
Why I started traveling? I used to work 100 hrs a week and never take an actual vacation, ever, in 30 years. Always said "no", always put work first. 2 full time jobs and a side hustle. I got severely burnt out. Now I am on my journey to reverse that. Find out what life and living means. I am practicing saying "yes" to anything new, and I even actively seek new thrills to move me out of my comfort. These days, I am finding better balance working as an HR consultant for tech companies focused in artificial intelligence/machine learning, augmented/virtual reality, and other emerging tech.
