Hello! My name is Binyamin (or Benjamin) Berman. I'm 21, living in the Jerusalem area in Israel.

I've been drawing since I was in kindergarten and there's nothing I'm better at or love more. I do illustrations for music groups (posters, album designs etc.) And am slowly working on some comics projects that will hopefully become something readable one day. I also enjoy journaling my adventures in writing/drawing. If you were to host me you'd probably end up in my sketchbook somewhere (with your permission of course ❤).

I love listening to and making music. I currently play bass and sing in a weird little rock band.
Some of my favorite artists are Tool, Regina Spektor, Led Zeppelin, Jeff Buckley, Radiohead and Alice in Chains.
Definitely down for some jamming and listening to new, interesting things 🙂

Lastly (and obviously), I love traveling and hiking. There's a big cultural emphasis on Hiking here in Israel, and we have a deliciously varied landscape ranging from snowy mountains to woods to large expanses of desert.
I haven't done a lot of traveling outside the country, but hoping to change that this summer when I visit Europe. It'll be the first time I'm out in the world on my own, and I'm super, super excited.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'll be in Switzerland/Germany in June and July and am looking for a way to spend more time meeting new, interesting people without breaking my wallet :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once climbed about 15 meters up a eucaliptus tree to a swing on a makeshift zipline down into a river in my underwear.
