About Me

I hate staying still for too long. I typically go through cycles of working like crazy to save up then hit the road. I like traveling and seeing new places and things.
I'm a little bit of a food snob but I'm not above the occasional Big Mac.
I am somewhat of a thrill seeker. I have a motorcycle and ride it pretty much everywhere.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like airbnb and figure this is similar but cheaper :-P
I also hope to meet new people easier this way since I'd be living with someone instead of having a place to myself.

Interests

I like art and music. I try to hit up every museum in every town I visit. I'm also very interested in the history of wherever I go.
Having worked in restaurants for years, I really enjoy cooking and checking out the food in new places.
I have a Harley Davidson and enjoy bike stuff in general.

Music, Movies, and Books

For music my favorites would probably be mostly punk and metal and the like but I do have wide and varied tastes.
Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds
Alice in Chains
Pantera
The Dead Milkmen
Elvis
The Beatles
I've recently developed a taste for old country.

I think that between movies and books I have similar tastes. Mostly anything that has a heavy impact on the audience, pretty much all old stuff too for some reason.
Taxi Driver
The Warriors
Pulp Fiction
Less Than Zero
The Shining

Books, sci fi
Brave New World
Hitchhiker's Guide
anything by Philip K Dick

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I rode my Harley 926 miles from Nyc to Nashville in December. It was cold.

Teach, Learn, Share

Everything, anything, what I can

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can cook, take you out on the motorcycle, talk your ear off about politics, exchange war stories about growing up in New York for your own experiences, play guitar (though I leave mine at home), and share my eagerness and excitement. I would have no problem being a tag along to stuff going on around town, should anyone be interested in showing me.

Countries I’ve Visited

England, France, Ireland, Israel, Netherlands

Countries I’ve Lived In

Ireland
