Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've slept on the couches of Europe and the couches of America, and the most soul-affirming adventure took place in Lincoln, Nebraska. I was on tour, and played a show in a club one evening, not knowing there I was going to sleep afterwards. A local musician who I'd never met before invited me to sleep on the floor of his apartment. We stayed up late with a bunch of his friends, passing guitars around, and after a few hours' sleep, he lent me his meal card for his cafeteria, so I could get a free breakfast and a handful of apples for another day's drive across America's heartland.
