ABOUT ME

Hey everyone! I'm Blanca, and I come from a small town in the province of Coruña, in Spain. After spending one year in the US with my parents and siblings, I found how lovely it is to meet people from all around the world and learn about their culture and concerns.

I studied 3 years in Madrid a degree in Media Studies which to this day I still don't know if will ever bring me any good or even if I like it. But now I'm offered an opportunity to go and study abroad in Canada where maybe I can find the motivation I needed to finish such degree.

Kubrick, Coppola (father and daughter), David Fincher, Billy Wilder, Wong Kar Wai, Korean films, silly comedies on TV on a Sunday afternoon.

I also enjoy TV shows like Breaking Bad, The Wire, Six Feet Under, Homeland, The Sopranos, Mad Men, etc.

The National, Daft Punk, Arctic Monkeys, Wilco, The New Pornographers, Belle and Sebastian, Blur, Pulp, The Rolling Stones, Bon Iver, so many others...

I read both fiction (A song of ice and fire, Jane Austen, Fight Club, George Orwell...) and non-fiction (K.Marx, Horkheimer and Adorno, Marvin Harris, Noam Chomsky...).

I participated in the 15M movement, which was the Spanish "Occupy Wall Street" that took place on May 2011.
