i want to see the whole world and fall into lifelong friendships w/ as many good people as possible.
i'm not sure what to say here, so here's some random: i'm a Korean American living in Seoul, Korea. i've always wanted to see the world--actually, i've wanted to live everywhere besides Midwest, USA. in 2008, i was given the opportunity to drop the fetters that tied me to Chicago and able to unroot from 'home'.
i'm now roaming the planet meeting people and wanting to learn more about what this life is. i want to use this time--while i feel young--to run around w/ this energy i'm blessed to have and take in as much about the world and people as i can.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
but i'm *always* up for meeting new people!--but i live with a roommate in a tiny flat, so it's hard to host. but i'm always down to take people out for a drink/meal, hearing about life in different parts of the world and any travel stories.
i've just heard about this site, so i'll update this as i go along.
i love music, books, and have recently really gotten into hiking. Seoul's a serious party city--something i've actually grown a little tired of in the past year i've been here--just not in that place in my life anymore, i guess. BUT, i do LOVE dancing--so the occasional night out to dance is always a must.
my interests lie more in really getting to know different cities and having random adventures, meeting random people, and having random things to write about.
- cliff jumping
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
the few things/places i think of when i think *amazing* is: hiking thru bamboo forests in Maui and swimming w/ sea turtles and dolphins there. i've climbed the Great Wall in Beijing--almost getting blown off and plummeting to an untimely demise. i've gone cliff jumping into a Korean river and then rafted the rest of the way down that river while a torrential monsoon blew in. i've peered over the edge of the Cliffs of Moher in Ireland while i reconnected w/ a friend i haven't seen in 10 years.
