About Me

I'm happiest in life when I'm out walking and taking photos, and my heart just feels like bursting from all the beauty in the world.

I get inspiration from nature, music, the movie Amélie & love.

I love espresso, dawn, dogs, chips & salsa, 99% dark chocolate, the smell of sun-warmed pine needles, used book stores, red wine, Mary-Jane shoes, DIY books, skirts, witty people, crows, magic, fairies, road trips and coffee shops, laughter, people watching, journals, frogs, paper and glue, colorful things, the Internet, yoga, words, my camera, running on a rainy day, Indian summer, beach combing, the words serendipity, onomatopoeia & wanderlust, gargoyles & garden gnomes, old photographs, Frida Kahlo, all things vintage, quotes, weeping willows, cemeteries and train tracks in no particular order.

I don't like it when hair sticks to my fingers when i'm washing the dishes, seeing animals suffer, blatant disregard for the planet, guilt trips and bad song lyrics.

I would like to see northern lights, New York City, Italy, the pyramids and monkeys in the wild.

I am fascinated by all things Mexican and Southwestern. Turquoise, chili peppers, the 3 sisters (beans, corn, squash), adobe huts, tortillas, the music, El Dia De Los Muertos, limes, cilantro, margaritas, the Spanish language…

I wish I could spend my life wandering from music festival to music festival, taking photos and writing about the whole experience.

I knit. I am a vegetarian, except when I travel. Food is one of my biggest pleasures in life and there are no rules when I'm on the road.

I'm working hard at being myself in all situations. I’m often self-conscious in social situations but you probably wouldn’t know it. I’m working on that too because meeting new people makes life so interesting.

One day I would like to live in a house in the forest by a lake, with many pets, love, laughter, a full wine cellar and popcorn.

"I will not die an unlived life. I will not live in fear of falling or catching fire. I choose to inhabit my days, to allow my living to open me, to make me less afraid, more accessible, to loosen my heart until it becomes a wing, a torch, a promise. I choose to risk my significance; to live so that which comes to me as seed goes to the next as blossom and that which comes to me as blossom, goes on as fruit." -- Dawna Markova

“When it's over, I want to say: all my life
I was a bride married to amazement.
I was a bridegroom, taking the world into my arms.
When it's over, I don't want to wonder
if I have made of my life something particular, and real.
I don't want to find myself sighing and frightened
or full of argument.
I don't want to end up simply having visited this world.”
-- Mary Oliver
