ABOUT ME

I am 22 and I have no idea! ahah

Hey,

I was born Nathan James Day to two wonderful parents - Hugh (Helicopter Pilot and total badass) and Virginia (Nurse and total sweetheart). One brother - Evan (Total hard-ticket).

I live in St. John's with three of my best fiends - we are reforming college students, each trying to go (and simultaneously find) our own ways to wherever.

I am a thoughtful yet scatterbrained. I mean well but mess up a lot. I am pretty intellegent but am indecisive.

I can however say that I would really like to meet you, whomever you might be!

PHILOSOPHY

Learn for everyone and everything.
We are the only ones to can learn - our lives are the teachers! So choose your teachers wisely and pay close attention - nobody can learn anything for you.

I try not to get too dogmatic nowadys as it proves pretty hard to unlearn later on when I inevitably start to see the merit in the opposing principals.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

In a word - enthusiasm.

Within the groups of my life I'm a leader, jester, philosopher, listener, instigator, mediator and too often the cautionary tale.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've crashed many Couches and had many a person crash on mine but never due to the couch surfing website yet - gotta start somewhere!

I did however meet a touring band at their gig and hosted them in their impromptu tour

Interests

Right now I am really into camping and the outdoors - biking, and backpacking. Starting to get into solo day trekking in the abundance of trails in the area.

Recently I have been training in MuayThai - A form of kickboxing o.g. from Thailand.

I have played drums for 11 years - teaching and preforming. On my first couch surfing trip I am making my way by land (hitch/ride/etc.) to meet the band mentioned in "Couch Surfing Experience"

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have been blessed to play many gigs with my friends to many awesome crowds. Fought for titles belts within my martial arts gym. Hunting for moose with my father - in helicopters and by snowmobile. Hiked the Karlstjein Castle trail in the Czech Republic. Been to the largest Oktoberfest on the planet in Munich Germany. Hiked the Tablelands.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am a semi-professional drummer and have taught lessons for several years. I would love to help someone start/learn/improve their playing.

I also am a blue-prachett Muaythai Kickboxer, I'll teach what I can!

Professionally I am a graphic designer and marketing creative.
