Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing so I can really get to know the countries I visit. Aside from visiting museums (which is my number one thing I love to do in foreign countries), the best way to learn about a country and appreciate it, is by speaking with the locals!

Interests

I'm a very easily amused person. I like to meet friends for a drink, whether it be coffee or a glass of pinot noir and I love making new friends.
I wear a lot of black and own some of the most hideous shirt which I happen to love.
I like trekking and scenic walks. I walk my dog back home everyday along the beach 🐶

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I like just about every genre. I'm a sucker for the classics though - 70's through to 90's

Movies: Harry Potter, LOTR, Love Actually, Whisper of the Heart, not a massive fan of horror or gore movies, but in saying that, I love American Horror Stories (TV series) and Game of Thrones (TV series)

Books: I love reading! Current reading: Me Before You

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was in the Nepal Earthquake in April 2015, I stayed after and helped with relief work, taking food, tents and medical supplies to towns in need. Whilst doing this I got the chance to sit in Unicef meetings and meet three of the Nepalese princesses. It was an amazing, once in a life time opportunity.
