About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Explore the world, meet people, have fun, see and do as much as I can in this lifetime. I love the idea of learning new cultures.

ABOUT ME

I don't know where to start...I'm obsessed with traveling and seeing new places as well as meeting new people from various cultures. I am a FT student, it seems to be turning into a career, lol. I love animals, and swear I should have been a vet if I didn't have so many allergies! I'm engaged, but the big day isn't until 9/9/09. We're trying to wrap school up and get established before jumping into anything. Once I get to know you I won't shut up. Most peoples' forst imressions of me are dead wrong. They take me for a ditz, dumb blonde, etc. That bothers me, I'm far from it, just an fyi for those of you who see my pics and think the same thing ;) I've lived in MA my whole life and I love the Northeast, I can't imagine living anywhere else. I would say my personality is goofy/corny but in a good way. I laugh at my jokes by how bad they are, not how good they are, lol. I think being able to not take yourself too seriously is really important. People are either going to like you, or they won't. I'm never going to be someone I'm not just to please others; I did that in high school. I love to laugh, and just take a break once in a while from the usual day to day. I'm really excited about finding this site and the endless possibilities that could come along with it. I have so many places I would like to visit, I don't even know where to start. I think it's safe to say I would be open to going just about anywhere in this world. Physically being in a place can't be compared to readin about it or watching it on tv. You have to go there!

PHILOSOPHY

My personal philosophy seems to be constantly evolving...right now, I am just trying to be the best person I can be and taking it one day at a time. I try not to dwell on the past but rather look at the future. I'm learning that not everything is the "end of the world" lol. I am an only child so more times than not when things didn't go my way it certainly felt like it. I want to meet and help as many people as I can in this life. I am extremely grateful for what I have and for the wonderful people in my life. I am learning not to take things for granted and to appreciate the little things in life. It makes things a whole lot easier when you think about what you do have, rather than focusing on what you don't have.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I just signed up today and unfortunately, have no couchsurfing experiences to share. :(

Interests

Traveling, reading, (I think I have read 90% of the internet due to insomnia) volunteering, catching movies and plays, catching Red Sox games, going to the beach, hanging at bars or clubs once in a while, watching indie flicks, politics, (I have yet to be on a winning campaign though) psychology, shopping, going to zoos, aquariums (anything to do with animals) working out, photography...there is so much more, but I will leave it at that for now.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies, well I like all different kinds. The Departed, Titanic, Amélie, 28 Days Later, Scarface, Babel, The Notebook, Girl Interrupted, Disco Pigs, Training Day, There's Something About Mary, LA Confidential, Beyond Borders, Memoirs of a Geisha, L'Enfant, Wag the Dog, Breakfast at Tiffany's, Carlito's Way, Pure, Russian Dolls, Rocky, Lost in Translation, Silence of the Lambs, Leaving Las Vegas, Proof, Ringu, Dirty Pretty Things...As you can tell, I love movies :) As for books, I don't get to read as much as I would like because I always have to read for school. I like Grisham type books, legal thrillers mostly. As for music, I like everything except for country...my favorite group is Coldplay...I tend to go for the less mainstream stuff in general though.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I would have to say seeing the Eiffel Tower. It was amazing, and something I will never forget. I was completely blown away, there is something magical about Paris...

Teach, Learn, Share

I have to get back to this...I'm not clear on what I'm supposed to write.
