To live without fear or regret. To live life free and as I choose. And to leave behind a legacy of great memories with great people.
I'm an easy-going, guitar-playing English guy hoping to see some more of the world in the next few years! My hair is kinda long, my jeans torn, and I'm always good for a beer, an interesting conversation or a jam session.
But I have a confession to make: I'm a total story addict. The crazier the better.
I figure this whole 'meaning of life' thing is actually pretty simple: to teach all we know, and learn all we can. Do what makes you happy. Do the things that scare the sh*t out of you.
... or something like that.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies and books are pretty much anything horror, sci-fi or fantasy. I'm a huge Stephen King fan, but I also like anything from Tolkein to Michael Crichton. As for music, I guess I'm open-minded. I'm not so much into the whole club music scene, but anything classic rock, folk or country will get me up and dancing!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Picture this: 2am on a below-freezing night in Vasatokka, Lapland. Staggering back from a friend's dorm, drunk, belly full, trying not to slip on the icy path back to my cabin. Not a soul is awake. It's just me, and the night, and the snow gleaming in the lights. And I look, on a whim, to my left, over the frozen lake. And I stop dead in my tracks. Because the Northern Lights are unlike anything I could ever have dreamed of - it was a sheet of emerald light, vertical, rippling like water, moving in a way light should not move over the lake. I stand there, utterly speechless, for what feels like a very long time, before I walk on towards my cabin. And I look up, and stop again, because a ribbon of green light is rippling overhead, and I can't believe that I'm the only one that's seeing this, the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. But the second I think this, (with tears on my face and my mouth hanging open like an idiot), a flash of violet passes along the length of the ribbon of light, and all I can do is laugh with sheer, dumbfounded awe.
So really, all I did was what I do best - drink and listen to stories. But what I saw, the gift that Lapland gave me, was absolutely extraordinary, and unforgettable.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm okay at playing guitar. But I know most about fiction/poetry/song writing, and getting published. I also know a lot about Finland. But I'd love to learn a foreign language, and about different cultures. I love the little quirks that every country has, the kind of things that only locals really know.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Well, I'm a terrible cook, but I can clean, and do general household things. I like to think I can talk to anyone, and as I've mentioned about a thousand times on this profile, I have a handful of crazy stories to share! I just love life, and have a deep appreciation for beauty, and discovering new places and meeting new people, and giving all I can give, whatever that may be.
