About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To live bravely, enjoy risk, breath deeply and greet warmly

ABOUT ME

I am 32 and have recently realized that I need to experience the world outside of the one I know. I have worked more hours as a chef in the past 15 years than I would imagine most people do in their lifetime and I finally decided to live my life instead of waste it away working. I am extremely outgoing, very friendly, open to all types of adventure and looking to explore the world. I am also impecably honest, trust worthy and generous. I understand the importance of manners, respect and personal privacy.

PHILOSOPHY

"I don't fear failure. I fear succeeding at something that doesn't matter." ~Dan Erickson

I am very liberal and believe everyone has the right to live as they see fit. Very simple.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

As it stands now, I am leaving my home in search of life. I have no idea what that means. I know I just wrote it, but I can't really elaborate on that quite yet. Sorry. So how I plan to participate is to travel, meet, explore, befriend and experience. At some point in the future I plan to host but for now I hope to meet and surf. In addition, I would love to cook for anyone who hosts. You provide the kitchen and the ingredients and I will feed you and your friends and/or family :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None yet. Working on changing that :)

Interests

Food, music, culture. That about sums it up. I want to experience the wonderful things the world has to offer with a strong emphasis on food. All food from all countries. I have been a chef for 15 years and thrive on all things edible.

Music, Movies, and Books

Don't watch TV and only watch movies rarely. Books...anything food :)
Music: Mumford & Sons, Rustic Overtones, State Radio, Rage Against the Machine, Adele, Todd Snider, 311, Sublime, all 90's alternative, etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I love the outdoors. I have completed many adventures in the New England region of the US including hiking the Long Trail in Vermont (26 days/365 miles), kayaked Lake Champlain in Vermont (16 days/65 miles), canoed the Alagash River in Maine (5 days/95 miles), biked through three states in New England (3 days/310 miles). Throughout all of these adventures the most amazing thing is the sense of freedom and relaxation you get from being outside with only the responsibility of yor own livelihood. It's a feeling I could never put into words.

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to learn about every culture's food. In exchange, I will gladly share as much information about food and cooking as anyone wishes to learn :)
