About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Have to use some airline buddy passes asap!!

ABOUT ME

I'm friendly and warm, embrace the virtues of Southern hospitality as a Texas transplant, an extroverted introvert, always asking questions about people's lives, always looking for a good conversation, always singing something to which I don't know the words.

PHILOSOPHY

People matter. I love people. I love hearing life stories.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Looking for my first one!!!

Interests

I grew up in a family full of musicians, so music is an important part of my life, even though I'm the least involved professionally of my family members. I've still had the opportunity to travel and perform, most recently to Glasgow and Edinburgh, Scotland (June 2011) and Belfast, Northern Ireland (October 2011) as a featured soloist in some choir concerts. Singing is definitely one of my passions. I am also passionate about teaching. I teach a course on constitutional rights and liberties at my university where I'm working on my PhD. I could work with students all day. I love traveling and visiting people. I'm more of a "soaker" when it comes to vacations; I'd rather get to know one small area really well than cram in as much as I can.
