Overview
About Me
I'm smart. I'm free. I'm wildly creative. I'm talented and upbeat.
Alas, while wonderful traits, they are invariably found unimpressive by HR managers. I am a round peg in a world full of square holes.
I usually, but not always, make a living as an artist, musician and humorist. I've made my lving, at one time or another, as a nationally published cartoonist or traveling bassist.
Nice work when I can get it.
When I can't, I make and fix things. Houses, cars, machines, musical instruments, it doesn't matter.
Having approached tools and technology as a seamless whole has provided me the ability to do most anything except explain what I do.
As all this proved to be too much for my soon-to-be-ex-wife of twenty-five years, I am free to surf the upholstered sea.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My Gypsy soul drives me to wanderlust and adventure. Current circumstances deem that I have a lotta time, but not a lotta dough.
Ain't it cool that there's a web site for that!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One?! One amazing thing?! That's not fair.
Steered a clipper ship. Played a stadium with a rock band. Hung my work in galleries and museums (okay, one of each). Dined with celebrities and heads of state. Shook the hands of John Lee Hooker and Frank L. Rizzo. Drove in demolition derby. Raised teenagers and lived to tell the tale ---and some other stuff too.
Countries I’ve Visited
Barbados, Canada, Dominican Republic, Ireland, Mexico, Netherlands, Saint Lucia
