ABOUT ME

I'm married with a wife and two kids. I have been an elementary teacher and a park ranger. I enjoy hiking, running and cooking. I'm a big soccer fan, particularly the Sounders and Tottenham FC

PHILOSOPHY

I took a lot of philosophy in college, particularly Epicurianism and the works of the pre-stocratics which has really influenced me.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

With a family and class I don't get to travel much - but I love to meet other people who do! I'd like to help out people travelling on the west coast, especially bike tourers

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Hosted a few times, stayed on a couch in prague. I really like having bike tourers stay with us!

Natural History, Gunter Grass, Jazz, Chamber Music, Eric Roehmer is my favorite director.My wife and I have season tickets to the Seattle Opera, and particularly enjoy French bel canto and baroque opera.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Been a wildland firefighter and flown in a helicopter to a fire at the Grand Canyon.

I'm a pretty good cook, I like roasting green coffee beans and I can rebuild bikes, fix bottom brackets and adjust derailleurs.
