Living a dream while being a full time human being.
Sharing my adventures, doing crazy stuff, being with nice, fun open-minded people and just doing the things I like!
Things I'm proud of:
- Did a 3 week road trip by myself in South-Africa
- Walked the West Coast trail and made some great Swiss friends.
- I almost made it to Oslo as my first hitch hike straight from Belgium
- While still in Belgium, got a job at Icebreaker in Wellington, New-Zealand.
- still having great friends in Belgium while being on the other side of the planet.
If you dream it, you can do it.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I got a new couch in Newtown, Wellington where I can host up to 2 people!
My first experience was with Prokop in Copenhagen after my first day of hitchhiking. He gave me his room, invited me to his Greek friends, we had a great meal and I had an experience I will never forget.
At that time I could not believe that people could be so generous to strangers in Europe.
So I kind of feel obligated to pass it on ..
Since the summer of 2010, my friend and I want to do every hiking trip on this list
We did the one in Canada, 9 to go ..
And while I'm in New-Zealand, I have to do all the Great Walks.
Besides hiking, I will start Dragon Boat racing through work from January 2012.
- scuba diving
Music, Movies, and Books
Euh well almost everything, depending on the mood.
These days I really enjoy Gotye or Jaydiohead. (mix of Radiohead with Jay-Z lyrics.)
I don't call myself an addict but I almost go weekly, read, I spend too much money on going to the cinema. I don't like the big block busters, but from time to time I can enjoy them.
The last book I read was the death of Bunny Munro, to be honest, I can't remember which book I read before that. Most of the time I read stuff on the internet.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
White shark diving in South Africa, driving along the southern South African coastline, the lochs of Schotland, Norwegian Lofoten and Vesteralen, the rough West Coast of Canada including the magnificent West Coast Trail, the Rocky mountains and now the beauty of New-Zealand.
The people you meet along the way and every time realizing how many good people there are on this small planet.
