About Me

I'm taking a gap year between a career in the Navy and finishing college. I will be taking a three month road trip around the states starting in Seattle and ending in Miami. After that I'll be leaving the US, I'll come back before school starts next August.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to really experience areas while I travel, as opposed to just passing through.

*** New Game of Thrones episodes are airing.... I'll bring snacks ***

Interests

I'm getting really comfortable in the pacific northwest with my hobbies, if you want any recommendations for the Puget Sound let me know!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music- Changes day to day, as I type this I'm listening to Waiting on the Summer by VHS Collection. My first concert was Blink-182, the first rap song I learned every word to was Juicy, and my favorite Disney song is "I Can Go the Distance" from Hercules.

Movies-
I've leaned on Forrest Gump as my go to answer for awhile now but honorable mentions would include The Grand Budapest Hotel, The Accountant, Howl's Moving Castle, and Boyhood.

Books-
I love reading and it started with the Harry Potter series.
Books I recommend- The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, East of Eden, The Art of Racing in the Rain and Gates of Fire.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've watched the Northern Lights through night vision goggles while flying over Alaska.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd love to learn about your area, culture, and you. You are the pro when it comes to your area; if you say the best thing to do is hike then hiking it is, if every Tuesday there is a party at an abandoned Blockbuster on fifth ave and you tell me I'll be grateful you gave me the inside scoop.

Any book or movie recommendations are more than welcome.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can cook! I am half Cuban and love any excuse to make the meals my father cooked for me growing up. Outside of cuban food though we can figure out any recipe and I'll gladly give my hand at cooking it up either for or with you. I'll do the dishes! Ask me where I am when we start talking and If I'm in Seattle I'll pick you up an Elysian ipa or if I can fit it in my saddle bags I'll bring a small souvenir. I'll have a drone if you want a birds eye photo shoot of your house let me know!
