I am cool french guy, kind of atypical intellectual :open-minded and interested in anything linked with traditional and modern societies: especially polynesian and southern african cultures. I travel quite a lot for my research which deals with "war during the peace". I consequently study how we live in a "state of exception", where a war ( on terror, on crime and so on) is waged against a criminal ennemy , usually somehow invisible and transnational...
However, I am not a kind of boring sociologist ( at least , I hope so!); I enjoy reading - french literature especially - and I really love cinema, particularly Kubrick and Lynch, and more generally classical movies...
I love reading different kind of philosophers: among others: Pascal, Spino, Friedrich: the best of the best...

I used to itch hike all around the world: I did a tour of new zealand, new caledonia and southern Africa, while itch hiking: also I've met many great people there, who provided me a couch, or even a bed!
