Who am I? I'm some guy. Ask anyone.

I write software for a living, work on a travel website when the mood strikes, and do a regular comedy show with some friends. I also try to learn a few new things each year. I've recently dabbled in woodworking, welding, and surf casting. Maybe someday I'll learn how to cook.

When I'm traveling I like to pin down my transportation and accommodations, but other than that I keep my plans loose. Locals always know the best restaurants, sites, and activities, so I usually just ask for recommendations.

As a guest, I'm easy going, tidy, and respectful. It's your home, after all!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Meeting locals has always been my favorite part of traveling, so hopefully I can help make someone's trip a memorable one, and meet some great people while I'm at it.

Interests

Comedy - I perform improv comedy once a week or so, and enjoy going to other shows around the city when I can.

Outdoors - I grew up skiing, hiking, camping, fishing, etc. I still get out a few times a year.

Nerd stuff - I geek out over cars, aircraft, and technology in general.

Food - Eating is always a big part of my travel experience. If you're looking for recommendations, or know someplace good, let's dish! (for non-expert English speakers, that was an awesome pun, and you should be impressed)

I like to watch Top Gear (UK), Adventure Time, and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, among many other things.

Bookwise, I've been on a sci-fi kick for the past year or so. Neuromancer, Ender's Game, Snow Crash, to name a few.
