I'm in Tokyo until August/Sept 2016. I've been here over 3 years working as a University English professor. Moving back to my native Portland, Oregon after this final semester. Until then, I'm looking to experience as much as possible, meet cool people, and definitely share this amazing country, which has given me a few amazing years.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing was there for me when I needed a cheap escape after a particularly bad breakup, and I escaped for a mini-trip up to Vancouver, Canada. I've been hooked ever since (though I go up and down with how active I am on here).
I hosted a meetup in the Kichijoji neighborhood of Tokyo for about 2 years. I don't host regularly, but I am definitely down to hang out with travelers and show you some awesome stuff you might not find in guidebooks.
Sports and exercise. Travel. Meeting awesome people. Good beer. Good food. Conversation. Language. Culture.
