About Me

See my country and find myself

I'm a recent transplant to NYC having moved here in 05/2011. Originally from Boston I made the move after years of pining for the big city. I have not regretted it - even in the summer.

Trying to figure that out. I believe sharing experiences is what gives life meaning.

"For me, I am driven by two main philosophies, know more today about the world than I knew yesterday. And lessen the suffering of others. You'd be surprised how far that gets you." - ndt

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm about to go on a two week cross country train trip and will be surfing.

First time surfing on CS

Trying new restaurants, exploring new dives, getting out of the city and making new memories with good friends.

I've been studying Japanese for the past year working towards my goal of moving there for one year and have recently begun playing hockey, a dream since I was 5 - it's never to late to start, right?

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Snorkeling in the coral sea at the Stepping Stones dive site was a completely surreal experience. It was like diving into a moving rainbow of fish in the clearest water. I will never forget it.

Staring out of the Park Hyatt in Tokyo and seeing the massive cityscape that is Tokyo made me feel so small and insignificant. New York City does not compare to the sprawling highrises over there. It was truly daunting.

Teach, Learn, Share

I could teach you how to curse in a few languages... not sure if that's useful.

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, France, Germany, Japan
