CURRENT MISSION

To finish my stroage room into a place for people to stay! Also, finding a place to stay a the end of May in England.

ABOUT ME

I am very athletic and love the outdoors. I greatly enjoy being only an hour away from Red River Gorge and try to get out of the city whenever possible on the weekends to climb. I am currently a student at the University of Kentucky, and school essentially dominates the majority of my life. I am very studious, like to have a good time and meet new people. Some of my favorite experiences are camping down at a local camping area known as Miguel's (that has awesome pizza, by the way), and meeting climbers from around the nation and even extending to around the globe. I have been very blessed with the gifts the world has given me: a nice place to live (which I work for so I don't have to pay rent) and a scholarship that allows me to not have to pay tuition. I will be more than glad to support those that need help or a comfortable place to stay. All you have to do is ask!

PHILOSOPHY

What is mine is yours; we are all given objects by the world and shall return to the world. To withhold possessions is to withhold the world unto others, and restrains the natural flow of gift giving. If I have been blessed, I will share my blessing with others to partake of the joys in life. For life is not truly felt until shared with others. That is where true happiness lies- in relationships with others and the divine creator within ourselves.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have a futon open for anyone wishing to visit Lexington / is passing through. However, during the school semester, I don't have too much free time, so I may have very busy nights of studying / work, and can only provide a place to sleep. I will try to hold to my standard and be an awesome host though!

Interests

When not studying, I will either by at the local rock climbing gym, swimming or finding some way to blow off steam. The strenuous courses I am taking tend to build up stress, which dissipates as I climb with friends, cook food for others, or simply hang out on the hammock. I have been getting into slacklining as well, a very enjoyable hobby for a quick 30 minute break from studying. I do not have a TV, and choose to spend time with others rather than swallowed up in the technological world. I am open to new ideas and new experiences as well!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

1) Climbing in North Carolina. My climbing friend Jamie Mohan and I climbed gorgeous 400 foot faces and got spectacular views from the top of the cliff line.
2) Just being in the Gorge. The Red River Gorge is my place to get away from the city and enjoy myself and the company of others. It is my favorite place to go, and has lead to many adventures and fun times.
