Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm embarking on a two-week trip to cover the scenes at both the Democratic and Republican convention (in Philadelphia and Cleveland, respectively) and would like to couch-surf not only as a way to save on lodging but also to meet a good conversationalist to discuss current events with to inspire food for thought about what I'm writing!
