About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To try and understand perspectives not my own.

ABOUT ME

I am a simple person. I don't carry much baggage (physical or otherwise) and I don't worry about material things very much. I like to make stuff and help people. I can be very outgoing or very introverted depending on how I feel but I'm very stable in my mood changes and normally can see them a few days away at a time and compensate. I'm fiercely independent and self-reliant and constantly challenging myself in order to keep myself on my toes.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe its better to live my life believing people are good people even if it means I will get hurt sometimes rather than be bitter and live life without trusting people. I believe that all things such as happiness and self control come from practice.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm willing to host some people in my small apartment.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Lived all over the states mostly in tents tarps or just under bridges. Not many people let me stay on their couches which I kind of understand being a single dirty male (well I've been sleeping on the ground without a shower) but I want to be able to help out people that have a hard time finding a place to stay. What goes around comes around you know?

Interests

Music, Movies, and Books

Hitch-hikers guide to the galaxy will always have a special place in my mind. I'm currently reading Catch-22, and the invisible man. I like documentaries and comedic movies. Musically I'm lucky to be able to learn to love most forms of music. As I get older I appreciate a lot more diversity of music and books but strangely less movies

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Tried to smuggle an Afghani across the Canadian border. Multiple times managed without gear to travel great distances.

Teach, Learn, Share

Photography, philosophy, color theory, scenes, Cooking, urban survival, drumming, thumbing, camping, tramping, poetry, linux, Darkroom setup, beer brewing, budgeting, poetry, and a wealth of useless trivia from far too much time on wikipedia.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My apartment is in a great location right in the heart of the most active part of the city. I also have a spare bike I can lend out as well as well. You can walk just about anywhere from my location. I have a spare mattress and clean sheets. I can get good deals at the liquor store where I work as well.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, England, Mexico, Sierra Leone

Countries I’ve Lived In

United States
