About Me

ABOUT ME

I worked boring desk jobs for 5 years after graduating from college. At first it was great, because I thought that's what I was supposed to do. Eventually I started thinging that there had to be an alternative way to go through life, so I quit and got a one way ticket to New Zealand just because.

I love the outdoors and outdoor activities of all kinds. I love to hike, walk, kayak, swim, run, play, or lay in the sun doing nothing at all. Too much time inside will quickly drive me mad.

I like to push and challenge myself, including challening myself to be better at challenging myself. My friends think I do crazy things sometimes (like taking a bus 1000 miles to a music festival by myself, or moving to NZ with no plan at all), but they seem pretty normal to me.

I like to meet interesting people who have a different take on life. Even if we disagree about basically everything, I really value those conversations and think I'm good at having them in a respectful manner.

I'm a classic example of an extroverted introvert. I love meeting new people and getting to know you, and have no problem striking up a conversation with a random person, but I also very much need my alone time and will get anxious if someone wants to spend all of their time with me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

If you ask, I'm happy to share my opinion and have a lively discussion about basically anything. I'm not one to shove my opinions in someones face without prompting, but when I have an opinion, I strongly believe in it and welcome talking with someone who has a different point of view.

I like to talk about life, plans, goals, travels, people, music, cooking, and most importantly, food. I love food and love to cook and really enjoy preparing meals for people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Absolutely nothing (yet). I've only been in NZ for a couple days (as of Sept 25th), and I've never tried this out before my trip here.
