Comunication is an important part of my opinion view. To speak with different people from different countries with different cultures, excanche opinions, listen to people what they think, what they feel, to get experienc, to read books, etc. etc. ... learn out of all
this includes the ability to use the language that there will be no missunderstandings as well as not to be unfriendly or to direct. "How to say something" without hurting sombody...
Another important part is to know what I want to understand myself. This is finally -I think- the condition to get mental developement
