Hello there!

Being a Colorado native, I cannot live without the mountains! While I'm not working to travel the world (searching to find the best people, food, beer, and coffee), I love to hike, climb, and ski. I thoroughly enjoy these things but even more so when Jonny (the love of my life ) is by my side.

I prefer to be around genuine people who have a good sense of humor.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm interested in Couchsurfing because I hope it may lend me a more meaningful experience whilst traveling and would let me connect with the locals from place to place in ways that I may not be able to otherwise. Finding the heart of a town through a website or a book just isn't the same as having someone who is willing to help you understand (and possibly show you!) why that place is so special to them...

I also want to do and see things that I cannot at home.

Interests

As stated before, I am not a city dweller ;) I love the outdoors and find it necessary for my sanity...Nature is my greatest teacher! Cheesy but true. That being said, I enjoy the cities of new places for the history, culture, art and hole in the wall restaurants that blow your mind.

I enjoy good people, good food, good beer and good coffee...but who doesn't? ;)

I also have a soft spot for live music.

I love a lot of different kinds of music, movies and books. I cannot say that I necessarily have a favorite in any category. Total cop out, I know but we have to leave something to discuss when we meet up, right? ;)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Several years ago, I was lucky enough to help on a medical mission in Ecuador which provided free medical care (Ophthalmology, Dentistry, Gynecology, Pediatrics, and General Medicine) to people in some of the poorest highland regions. It changed my perception of everything and thus, changed my life...
