About Me
I'm am international masters student in Equitable and Sustainable Tourism, and that's pretty much 95% of my life right now :(
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am advocate for the sharing economy. I even wrote a paper about it! http://content.ces.ncsu.edu/using-web-marketplaces-to-reach-untapped-markets
In particular, Couchsurfing is outstanding because it enables people to travel in a more affordable manner, while at the same time meeting interesting locals and knowing their "insider" stories!
Interests
I like to ride my incredible tandem + afterburner bike with my wife and son. I love to play and watch all kinds of sports, in particular association football.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love to listen to music and attend concerts. My favorite styles are ethnic, a capella, classical and heavy-metal. I used to play guitar and mandolin and sang baritone in a number of ensembles back in my home country.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I volunteered in Mozambique, Africa, for six months. I helped training basic school teachers for the rural area.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share a meal and a bottle of good Portuguese wine!
