Totally new to this, but have just quit the daily grind with the intention of spending the next couple of years travelling and experiencing life again, rather than been tied to the smartphone and job 24/7.
I'm a kiwi, currently living in Canada, and the 9-5 life really isn't for me, so I've decided to change things up and let my inner nomad rule for a whiles.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When I travel I like to experience the people that make the place, this seems a great way to do so, make new friends, and when I'm static, do the same in return for other travellers

Travel, food, people, experiences, hiking, outdoors, the world, the ocean, horses, cooking (I'm a mean cook, and love to feed people!!), reading, learning, the list keeps growing..

Music, Movies, and Books

Don't do a whole lot of movie/tv watching, but always open to recommendations, read anything I can get my hand on - I have books stashed in NZ, Alberta and BC, they are the one thing I can bear to let go of as I downsize life to a few bags.. Pretty much any music appeals to me, my tastes are eclectic - apart from german death metal, I just can't do that..

Packed my bag, and moved to Alberta, knowing no one, (ended up living there for 5 years..)
