CURRENT MISSION
To trust in life
ABOUT ME
Still finding a lot out about myself. I am 24, with a bit of Dutch in me. I have strong associations with Holland, although I grew up in England.
PHILOSOPHY
To share, experience and respect people, animals, life, things. To pursue what inspires me and to make time for things that I find difficult. To listen, to be aware and think about the consequences of my actions. To be positive, because I feel being positive means that I have a stepping stone to stand on when I feel things could be better. To act and not just think because things are easilier said than done.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I joined CS2 project because it´s a brilliant way to travel and get to know places as well as offer insights into the places I´ve been to and liked. I am still quite new to couchsurfing and would like to meet people and share experiences.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Only couchsurfed once so far and that was with someone who I knew before joining couchsurfing. She suggested it and was am amazing host, so my first experience has been positive.
Interests
I like to see places, to hitchhike, to walk, to cycle, to climb mountains. I like languages. I studied Religious studies at Univeristy because I am interested in stories, what motivates us, and have so many questions about life, meaning, philosophy, ritual...
I love to read, draw, make things, to learn.
I would like to know more about growing food, and be more resourceful with what I have around me. Veganism, ecological issues, education...a lot of thing interest me.

Music, Movies, and Books
Books: L. J. Borges, Pablo Neruda, Dostoyevsky, Tolstoy...I love Russian literature, but these are some of my favourite authors, although I have many. At the moment I am reading a really engaging biography of Wittgenstein by Ray Monk. My next book to read is Free Women of Spain.
Music: I like a lot of music, this morning I was listening to sufjan stevens...would like to know more Spanish music while I am here in Spain, so if there any suggestions, pass them on.
Films: I love svankmeyer, his shorts and in particular Lunacy. I also like quite a lot of German films, french...basically independent cinema which makes me think, question, and inspires me imaginatively and pro actively. I would like to watch more documentaries.
For awareness of food, the production of it and being a consumer, I think ´Unser täglich Brot´ (Our Daily Bread) is an important film to see.
