About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I dream of a better world where chickens can cross the road without having their motives questioned.

ABOUT ME

I take chances.
I tell the truth.
I have dated someone totally wrong for me.
I can say no.
I have spent all my cash (and usually spend my last $10 on beer)
I love getting to know random people.
I am random (ask anyone that)
I have said those forbidden words... I love you.
I will sing anywhere I damn well please.
I will laugh at stupid jokes... and people.
I am more than willing to apologize when I have done something wrong.
I always speak my mind.
I regret nothing.

PHILOSOPHY

... after all, what would the world be like without Captain Hook?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Here's to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They're not fond of rules. and they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, disbelieve them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can't do is ignore them. Because they change things. They invent. They imagine. They heal. They explore. They create. They inspire. They oush the human race forward. Maybe they have to be crazy. Because the ones who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones who do.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Hmmm I've done my fair share of surfing those fabricated bricks we call couches. Mostly when i'm passed out after a night of partying. But I've been in alot of different places... obviously I can't think of any right now because there is always a story attached to it.

Interests

It depends on my mood. I'm a very open minded and eclectic person. I'm up for almost anything. For example, I have been invited to not only some up and coming punk shows but rap battles and some dubstep shows too...
I was invited to go snowboarding the other day.
I was invited to go swimming, tanning, and work out.
I was invited to be in a photo shoot.
etc..

Music, Movies, and Books

That is something that you (including myself) will find out as we go.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once let a lady use my phone to call someone on the next plat form to tell them she was going to be late. She had a see-through plastic bag full of odds and ends and raggy clothes and scruffy hair. I was wearing nice dress pants, and blouse as well as a nice wig (for an interview since I had purple hair still). After she was finished with it she looked at me and I thought she was going to cry. She told me she had a very ruff few days and hadn't had the best life and she was so great full that I had let her use my phone. She ended it with a comment along the lines of "... but I bet you have people give you things all the time" I laughed and told her a few key points in my life that weren't the best and I told her that I may look dolled up but she shouldn't judge, I let her use my phone and I didn't judge. I told her it wasn't a big deal and to pass the good deed along. As she got onto the C-train I saw her cry. I hope she made someone else smile later.

One time I was at work and this little old man (who we call Slappy) came in... I was on till. When he came up to the register he put his money up on the counter and I thought he wanted me to sift through it, when I started to he slapped my hand. I jumped back and started laughing. He scared me have to death! he glared at me and started going off saying "you young kids! so grabby for money!..." he went on and on about how I didn't know what I had and I didn't know this and that... I was trying to assure him otherwise through tears of laughter when he finally got to the part about me not knowing about the war. I stopped laughing and told him "actually sir, I do know a thing or two about the war." "what do you know?" he barked. To which I replyed "well sir, my grandmother was head nurse in the Navy, and there is one thing I've learned growing up and that's the fact that you don't cross an old navy woman." he nodded his head knowingly. After that I was the only one on staff he seemed to actually tolerate.
A few days later he came back in and while he was in line using the debit machine a line up started building up behind him. My theory for my line of work (working in a liquor store) is people don't need their 6-pack of beer that bad and can wait. Anyways, so he was having some issues using the machine and I helped him through it patiently... he looked up at me at the end while the transaction was being processed and his eyes were all teary. I looked at him as if to ask what was wrong but didn't say anything. He quietly said "thanks for not yelling at me" I was shocked and asked "why would I yell at you?" he said "sometime people yell at me because i'm old and slow and don't know how to do anything." I swear i almost cried. I said to him "sir, you did it all yourself. People have to learn to be a little more patient. Besides, these machines piss me off too. Why do you think Till #3's debit machine is broken?" and i gave him a wink. he laughed and I could tell her felt better. I hope people are patient with me when I get older. Hell, even at this age!

hmmm.... what else.
I once paid for someone's groceries... they only had a few items but it meant alot to them.
oh! one time I was at work and this girl had bought a bunch of items and didn't have enough to buy something else that she had really wanted so she put it back... as she was putting it back the guy behind her grabbed one of the items and paid for it with his stuff and told me to give it to her, I did and she was amazed. The next time she came in she did the same thing for someone... it happened 3 times in a row on my shift and I heard about it 2 other times on two of my other employee's shifts. It's cool when that many random people pass good things along even if it's something simple.

One time I bought 12 roses and put them on people's cars in the parking lot. I waited to see who came out to find them. One lady had two kids who were both very tired and throwing tantrums and you could tell she was at the end of her poll... after she got the kids in the car (you could see they were still screaming in the back) she put her head in her hands for a bit... when she looked up she saw the rose on the outside of the car. She grabbed it and sat back in the car.... as the kids were still going off in the back she just sat there in silence and then started smiling. She showed the kids the flower and they stopped crying for a bit. She drove away pretty happy. I'm glad. Mom's need more thanks and spontaneous happy things in their lives.

I'm sure there are alot more... I just can't think of anymore. haha
