Walk the appalachian trail starting 3/18 for 6 months

ABOUT ME

I'm walking the AT on a budget and so any help I find along the way is greatly appreciated. I'm divorced, have 2 grown daughters and very few responsibilities at the moment. I've wanted to do the AT since I was 17; I love the outdoors and spend as much time as possible in the wood or on a pond or lake in my canoe. My love for the wild places is the main draw for my adventure.

PHILOSOPHY

I find myself wanting to help people in need and help the forest and it's needs. I don't consider myself a tree hugger, but I am conservationist.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I would be very interested in letting those that need a place to stay visit me when I return from my hike (hopefully by the end of September)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've never couch surfed but have talked to those that have and highly recommend it.
