About Me

mastering the art of happiness

'If you want to be happy, just BE happy' ... this is a motto I have followed for awhile now, and benefited greatly from it. I believe myself to be very easy to get along with, friendly and curious and love having conversations about anything and everything. I am very involved in the arts, I take a lot of pictures and do a lot of reading and writing. I also love to try new foods, both cooking them myself or enjoying them at a restaurant/event/whathaveyou. Other things I like to do are play board games, knit, hoopdance, swim, drink warm beverages. There are not many things I do not enjoy in fact, and overall in my life I hope to learn as much as I can and share what I know with as many as I can.

as I stated above... 'if you want to be happy, just BE happy' You are the only person who is going to be there for your entire life, so you may as well get along. Live life the way you best see fit, not the way you are told is appropriate. Whether it be to get a job and a spouse and kids in a house, or to wander spontaneously across unknown lands to meet kindred souls and learn about the world, the only person who makes these decisions should be you.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Still figuring that part out...

Totally new to couchsurfing... I will definitely do plenty of surfing once I am in a position to do more travelling, for now only short distances are realistic. Same goes for hosting, under some circumstances it may be possible but it is not solely up to me.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have seen the Crooked Bush in Saskatchewan, it is a mysterious patch of trees which grow twisty and knotty like a witch's forest, for absolutely no apparent reason. Across the road, they grow straight as can be. I have visited a few times, and even did an infrared photo shoot to enhance the bizarre qualities of this little-known place of wonder.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share some photography and art knowledge.. I can teach multiple methods of bookbinding/making and printmaking and basic knitting.

I would love to learn to cook/bake your favorite foods.
