ABOUT ME

I'm a married 25-year-old, with a huge love of puppies, indie films, good books, and fireworks. I'm currently a manager of a hotel, but working my way into the communications/marketing industry.

PHILOSOPHY

I'm going to be cheesy and quote Mother Theresa, but I think she knew what she was talking about:

"People are unreasonable, illogical, and self-centered. Love them anyway. If you do good, people may accuse you of selfish motives. Do good anyway. Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couch surfed once back in 2007, and I'm looking to start again, and maybe even open up my couch to surfers at some point.

Interests

Writing vignettes, tormenting my dogs, driving the curvy roads to my beloved Smoky Mountains, shopping (oh come on, you knew that was coming), scuba diving when I get the chance, watching Indie films, and fine dining!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love indie films, especially anything made by Focus Features. Also foreign films (usually French) like Amelie or Happenstance.

Music wise, I'm a big fan of most everything with either a) amazing lyrics , or b) amazingly bad lyrics. Either way, I get to enjoy the song or enjoy making fun of the song. It's a win win situation.

Books--Margaret Atwood is my personal hero, followed by Han Nolan, Nicholas Sparks for the sappy romantic in me, and I really enjoy Billy Collins' poetry. He's a literary genius as well.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm pretty good with grammar and anything literary... so I can teach you how to speak correct English. As far as learning, I'm really interested in people's personal religions and life philosophies.
