I am ready for an adventure. I know that the 9-5 life isn't the one I dream of and I'm ready to step out into the scary unknown. I've read stories about places and oceans that seem so far away, but I don't want those to be other people's stories, I want to live them. I am the kind of person who likes to never let an opportunity pass by. I am a planner by nature but I remember most the times where I left the itinerary at home and just went for it. I hope to not be the same person when I return from my travels than the person I am now. I hate the idea of arriving, because when you have a destination in mind you never see more than you intended. I want to wander into unknown streets and transform them into a home away from home.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Despite my mother's reservations, I find the idea of meeting new people in foreign countries thrilling. I love the idea of meeting someone who really lives in a city who can show me what the place is really like, because when I think of my hometown I don't think of it as the total sum of buildings someone might label "tourist attractions". I am not in this for the museums and mile-long queues, I want to make friends all over the world and get to know a city on a different level. I have heard so much about the network that Couchsurfing provides for fellow travel-minded people and I cannot wait to try it out for the first time!

Being an book nerd, I simply cannot choose a favorite book, genre, or time period. I love it all. But I am always taken away with stories of adventure or new experiences. I love authors such as Austen, Poe, Shakespeare, Shelley and more.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I am pretty proud of my first journey across the pond. I went for two weeks to England, Ireland, and France all by myself. It was full of mistakes and getting lost but I am glad I got to learn things first hand, as they will help me on my future travels.

I have a passion for makeup, so I could teach you whatever you want to know! I love teaching others about what I know but I equally enjoy learning new things. I'd love to learn many languages and I'm trying on my own but whatever I can absorb from others I will.

I know a lot about America, naturally, and I'd love to help you learn more about my country or help you plan your adventure here! I like to cook and I could teach you how to make some traditional dishes or just tell you some fun stories about what it is like to grow up here.
