Born in Scotland and lived in London, UK for nine years studying Fashion Styling and Photography and working at ASOS, where I met my boyfriend - with whom I now live - Gauthier.

Gauthier works in Audio Production and is French from France (Nice) and together we moved across to Canada (Montreal) last year with our working holiday visas in-hand. We've both now been lucky enough to have these renewed for another two years and are moving over to Toronto - hurrah.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Well a) we moved to a completely new Country and b) now we're moving to Toronto.

So hey...why not?

I'll be honest - at first, I was a tad skeptical of the whole Couchsurfing thing but after a few views of profiles etc. and just reading the pretty amazing experiences everyones raving about - we'd kind of be fools not to.

As a couple of 'Yes' people, this is one opportunity we can't turn down.

Music, Movies, and Books

Ouch...this question is always the hardest.

Music...oh lawd, uh, great music? Anything and everything from Wanda Jackson and Nina Simone to Burial and FKA Twigs.

Movies: for me Interstellar is right up there at the moment. For Gauthier: the first Matrix always and forever.

Reading a bit of Mark Forsyth for the etymology geek within but Bill Bryson and Professor Brian Cox are forever favourites.

...yeah, I want to run away and study the universe. Shame I lack survival skills and basic maths.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Ummm...we both went to see Major Lazer play on the beach in Cannes?

I rode pigs on my farm as a kid and as an adult have been hugged by Beyoncé.

Gauthier has encountered a near-miss lightning-strike whilst camping in a thunderstorm.

Also, we together celebrated NYE in true British fashion: in the pouring rain, outside an off-license with a packet of crisps. Pretty amazing.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Hmmm...well, I'm not too shabby in the kitchen and always happy to cook up a storm when the need comes.

Gauthier, well he's got the playlists sorted, knows his way around a guitar or two and can teach you all the French slang you wish to know.
