About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I will be traveling to Italy during the month of June
ABOUT ME
I love sunshine and good food and wine more than most things in life. Because I live in America, I have been made to believe that this is not enough in life and that I should be successful, responsible and forward-moving. I believe in these qualities as well, but wish I allowed myself more time to enjoy sunshine, good food, and good wine.
PHILOSOPHY
In hopes of not sounding too cliche, yoga has changed my life and is my means of discovering my ever-evolving personal philosophy. Remembering to 'just breathe' has done a lot. I feel like I have a strong belief system in the good, and the loving, and the kind, while at the same time I love watching my belief system soften as I encounter new experiences and relationships.
On a different note I recently told my boyfriend how annoyed I was with myself about always being in 'planning mode' with life, and that I hoped Italy chilled me the fuck out! :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am new to this community, but hope to participate in an array of ways as I become more familiar and comfortable with it.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I am a novice to the CS experience, but hope to spark an interest while traveling this summer.
Interests
yoga, biking, reading, brunch, etc. I hate this section. I am interested in a lot, depending on the day. However, and ideally, I am very interested in sparking a discussion about my own and others interests over yummy food and wine!

Music, Movies, and Books
movies: Sense and Sensibility, Under the Tuscan Sun, Dirty Dancing, The Princess Bride, etc.-- total romantic.
Music: Country, Pop hits on the radio, Michael Buble station on pandora radio. I'm not the proudest of this part of me, but c'est la vie.
Books: The Time Traveler's Wife, Lovely Bones, Eat Pray Love, The Other Boleyn Girl, etc.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I attended a Quaker boarding school for 2 years in high school. It changed my perspective on so many things in life. It allowed me to mature in a way I'm not sure I would have done in my own home. I was able to meet people from all over the world. I became comfortable with the idea that learning is extraordinary and cool.
Teach, Learn, Share
I would love to share a yoga practice during my stay, teaching a class if desired.
I would also love to dialogue between Italian (I'm slow!) and English.
