About Me

settling in to city livin

Born and raised in Northern California, I pretended to study for a few years in Southern California. My education included venturing off to Cyprus, the island of love, which eventually led to residing briefly in Bend, Oregon. Shortly following this I took a sabbatical from life and relocated to Miami, Florida. I returned to California for a stint, swung by Paris, France for a year of French-learnin and some croissants, and have finally squatted in San Francisco!
Cookies are my weakness, I love the outdoors-both the mountains AND the beach, enjoy meeting new people and learning about new cultures!!

A good friend will bail you out of jail, a great friend will be sitting next to you saying, "that was awesome"

My advice to you is not to inquire why or whither, but just enjoy your ice cream while it's on your plate

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've got open doors to any wandering vagrants, come on over! We're about 3 km from the freezing, windy beach and a decent 45 min metro ride to the heart of the city...basically the suburbs of the city. It's wonderful! :D

Everyone I've met through CS has at least a hint of a free spirit (we're all hippies).

New countries, exotic languages, classic rock, a cheesy romance novel AND a respectful piece of literature, attacking terrible reality shows, then watching them obsessively, the smell of chocolate and peanut butter, and good friends!

Music, Movies, and Books

Moulin Rouge, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Contact, Supertroopers, The Others, The Truman Show
Alternative rock, ska, oldies, some techno (if the mood is right)
Choke, The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society, Harry Potter, The Jungle, Mary Shelly's Frankenstein, The Poisonwood Bible, The Kite Runner, Sarah's Key, The Happiness Project, and then some.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Attempted to surf, enjoyed a sunset over the Mediterranean, played a three day game of Monopoly, gone camping in winds of 60mph, night snowboarded, been in two states at once, walked up the Eiffel Tower in the pouring rain, saw a man riding a motorcycle on one tire for more than a quarter of a mile, and been reunited with friends from around the world!

Teach, Learn, Share

Fly by the seat of your pants!
Nobody knows what the heck they're doing anyways!

Countries I’ve Visited

Cyprus, France, Japan

Countries I’ve Lived In
