ABOUT ME

After my study journalism I spent a year in Canada, which had always been my dream. What I did not expect however was that I would get the travel bug and now I suddenly find myself Down Under. I will be in Australia/New Zealand until about July 2009. While I am currently residing in Sydney, working and saving up money for travel expensives, I can't wait until I start traveling and see more of the country.

Besides work I spent the majority of my time doing one of the following things: hanging out with my friends, reading/writing, going to the cinema, fangirling over TV-shows (currently: Doctor Who, Heroes, Lost), behind my laptop (blogging)

PHILOSOPHY

My goal is to see all the things and places that catch my attention while reading travel books with my own eyes

I am a complete couch surfing newbie, but heard so many good things about this I decided to finally sign up

Interests

I am pretty boring perhaps but my major interests in every day life are: my friends and family, books, photogaphy (very amateuristic), my laptop and the TV-shows I follow.

While traveling my major interests are nature/wildlife (seeing all the amazing animals and vegetation we don't have in the wild in the Netherlands. Also things such a hot springs, mountains, waterfalls and caves fascinate me immensely) and culture (checking out the museums, art galleries and interesting architecture in new places I arrive in).
