CURRENT MISSION

I'm not getting any younger so have chosen to teach in the Middle East to build up my "pension", afterwards "retire" in a third world country and teach to the economically-challenged.

ABOUT ME

I generally accept people for who they are until they prove me wrong. I prefer to give more than I receive to negate any hint of mooching / sponging off. I'm your neighbourhood "good neighbour". I'm a non-smoker so I prefer to socialize "outdoors" with smokers.

PHILOSOPHY

As a Canuck a.k.a. Canadian, I feel privileged so I settled into education to give back to society what I was fortunate to receive. I have no tolerance for racial, economic, and religious prejudice.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Have done my share of hitch-hiking in the Maritimes and staying with classmates during the 70's. Have open invitations to El Paso, New Hampshire, Portugal, Budapest and Alberta. Even slept in a "beanbag".

Music, Movies, and Books

I prefer to use video clips in my classroom lessons so I pretty well watch most Nortn American releases. Haven't gotten into the habit of reading books, only short articles/stories, research papers, and magazines.
