Why I'm on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have been hosting surfers from all over the world and met some of the coolest people on earth.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Hosting is just as much fun as traveling. It's like being a foreign exchange student without leaving home. You never know what you're going to learn from each experience.

Interests

Art, music of all kinds, books,(you can never have too many), cake, trees, cemeteries, genealogy, stonework, construction, fossil hunting, camping, wool spinning, sewing, painting, fixing things, asking lots of questions, nature, singing, history, swimming (not necessarily in that order). Having as much fun as possible without spending money or poking an eye out.

Music, Movies & Books

Anything with a happy ending
Life is Beautiful, Harold and Maude. The 5 people you meet in Heaven, A Tree grows in Brooklyn. Neil Young, A.C.D.C., Ray LaMontagne, R.E.M., Carly Simon, Benny Goodman, Frank Sinatra and too many more to list.

One Amazing Thing I've Done

8 months in Tennessee off the grid. Snorkeled with manatees in Florida, cooked hotdogs over a cow pie fire in the Mojave desert, ants, clouds, tides, sunsets and rises. Muir Woods, walked in the footsteps of my ancestors in Ponta Delgada, view from the top of the dome on Sacre-Coeur Basilica, got caught in a rip current, Jonny's attic,I saw a bear in Ashfield MA.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to dig clams, make the sound of a mourning dove by blowing into your hands, blow a bubble with bubble gum, sew on a button, darn a sock, use a sewing machine, knit, spin wool on a spinning wheel, how to patch a wall or properly paint just about any surface interior or exterior and tell you where the best beaches are. I want to learn how to solder copper or weld anything.

Countries I've Visited

Canada, France, Italy, Northern Ireland, Portugal

Countries I've Lived In
