Overview
About Me
Always looking for new ways to see and appreciate the world's diversity, and to better understand how people, things, cities, etc., work.
I left NYC and my job in December 2012, and worked as an independent consultant for 2.5 years while living and traveling abroad (including stints in Rio and Nairobi). Currently finishing up graduate school in the UK, and still taking advantage of the opportunity to explore.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've lived with, hosted, and visited people from around the world. Past roommates include a Canadian former consultant, a Brazilian photographer, a French dancer, Finnish and Belgian UN interns, and lots of Americans over the years. (And have hosted lots of their friends!) If you've ever heard of www.cisv.org, an international peace education organization, I've done most of my "couchsurfing" as a result of those connections.
Interests
Capoeira, sports (love playing football, mediocre at soccer, and terrible at softball), wandering around the city, spontaneous dinner plans, a good cocktail.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I shook President Obama's hand back when he was still a Senator!
Some of my most memorable traveling has been with kids . I took a group of four eleven year olds from NYC to El Salvador for a month (with kids from 10 other countries). Took kids from Houston, TX to Boston, NYC, and Philadelphia. Took kids from Harlem, NYC to Atlanta, New Orleans, Birmingham, and Sunflower County (Mississippi).
