About Me

I'm an enthusiastic mixture of space cadet, goofball and nuttiness, and I'm always looking for a new adventure!! I recently moved to Arizona for dental school, so while I don't have a consistent schedule and am definitely still getting to know the area, I'd love to meet up whenever I have some free time!

I love meeting new people, and I'm always down to go exploring! However, my main passion in life is laughing, so let's share jokes!! (I have possibly the corniest sense of humor though, so it's not very hard to make me laugh) :D

Basically, some friends call me a hippie and some call me bohemian, but I'm really just a hapa gal ready to be friends with the world!!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

So far all of my experiences have been rewarding - every person I've met via CS has had such an interesting life, and they've all been excited to share stories! It is so refreshing to be a part of this community of like-minded souls

Eating... not quite a foodie but I love trying new things :)
Hiking - if there's a waterfall involved, I'm in!
Going to the beach (this is slightly harder now that I'm in Az tho ...)

Being outside! Basically if it involves the sun and fresh air, I'll probably love it!

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: The Big Lebowski (come on, it's a classic!)

Music: Reggae, Rock, Blues ... anything with a solid beat

Books: Expat Harem - but mainly because of how I gained the book... aka via a friendly cat-lady in Istanbul, who recognized a 'kindred spirit' in me/mistook me for a homeless person in need of a read.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went swimming at a favorite beach on Oahu and came across a couple of sea turtles just doing their thing. At first I was scared because I know from 'Shark Week' that sharks eat turtles/bite people that look like turtles.. However, after overcoming my initial fears it was amazing to just be there, in that moment, with them.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach how to cook a mean mac 'n' cheese (and not from the box!!)

I'm trying to learn how to incorporate more balance into my life via yoga - I went to my first official Bikram class the other month!

I can share Hawaii culture, travel tips and insight! I love my home state and am always open to talk-story!

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Morocco, Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In
