ABOUT ME

All about me. I think that's a very unfair thing to ask, since I'm torn between thinking I'm a special snowflake who can't be defined within the perimeters of a x characters box and that I'm a completely average Joe with a eu shoesize 6 and the same interests as most people, who is uninteresting to define within such a box. Either way it falls short.. aaand I'm making excuses, because really I haven't been forced to reflect this much on myself since the golden age of Myspace (which I have an idea I wasn't very good at back then either, ha). Anyhow here's my shot at it:

I'm an easy-to-talk-to kind of person, who finds great joy in getting to know other people, both ones I have things in common with but especially people who can give me a new perspective on something, even the littlest things. I think what enriches us in the meeting with other people is exactly that: the fact that we are able to make each other see something to which we were blind before. To better understand ourselves and others in the contrast and likeness to them.
It's probably pretty standard for couchsurfers to have this outlook on life, but none the less I completely agree and think it's an important part of life to be challenged in ones everyday life comfortzone.

And now I've fallen in one of the all about yourself-type of mistakes. I've completely forgotten to convince you that I'm a funny person. I really am and honestly you're just going to have to take my word on it. I just got home from a festival and is therefore feeling an itsy bitsy lazy..

What I like:
experiencing thing for the first time, peaches, that european weather sweet spot with 25 degrees and a light breeze, festivals and partying, the smell of newly washed bedlinen, pens that makes my terrible handwriting seem like its artistic, reading dlisted.com, fridays, getting a prickly feeling in my belly because I'm nervous in a good way, my friends, my friends-to-be on couchsurfing.org, fleamarkets, buying books, riding my bike.

What I dislike:
buying books that I don't get to read, not being good at planning ahead, melon, when people don't laugh at my obviously hilarious jokes, unfairness, badly scented handsoap, roadrage, that food in supermarkets is packed in too big amounts for me to finish it myself before it goes bad, being a bit of a hoarder, when food is too hot to eat and you're really hungry.

PHILOSOPHY

trying to be as happy as possible without it conflicting with other peoples happiness - and hopefully make someone else happy in the process :)
