ABOUT ME

I am smart, creative, free-spirited, and fun. I am an artist, deep thinker and INFP. I am right-brain oriented but politically left (ha). I speak in metaphors, laugh at rubber chickens, and see possibilities where some see barriers. I am playful and inquisitive by nature.

I love films, photography, and creative mediums and am a social scientist and educator. I am a dreamer, doer, innovator, and adventurer. I love learning and try not to take life too seriously, unless I have to.

I am a teacher at a non-profit, helping the disadvantaged develop life and work skills. I love my job and I'm happy to have the opportunity to give back to the community.

PHILOSOPHY

Carpe diem. I don't take life or experiences for granted and I try to make the most of every moment. The time is now.

HUGE film lover. All time periods, genres, countries... I especially like foreign and independent features or critical darlings, even silent films and classics though I also dig the mainstream. My five favorites are Casablanca, Sunset Blvd, Network, Amelie, and Contact. I really like Hitchcock, Almodovar, and David Lynch. In another lifetime, I would have been a filmmaker.

Like film, I enjoy most genres of music. Outside of academia, I don't read much but Jurassic Park and To Kill A Mockingbird were great.

All kinds. There is something to learn from everyone. I am especially drawn to creative types. As far as what I could share, I know a lot about films, media, and technology. I am also helpful planning Disney trips. I can also teach you origami!
