ABOUT ME

My name is Carley, I am 19 and strive to be a world traveller. Ever since I can remember I have had this dream of going on this backpacking adventure to Europe just like my mom did when she was my age. I dreamed of castles, beaches, food, and all the culture I could get my hands on. And now... it's finally happening, I'm about to embark on a 7 month backpacking adventure with my best friend!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Being a low budget traveller I will need all the help I can get. Anyone that can lend a hand (and of course a place to sleep) is greatly appreciated. Of course when I come back from my adventure I will return the favour to my fellow couch surfers and look forward to it!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: anything really, although I'm not too into country music

Movies: I don't really have a favourite genre but I don't particularly enjoy heavy action movies or cliche romantic movies

Books: anything from the classics like Frankenstein and Alice in
Wonderland to modern day books (1000 Splendid Suns was one of my favourites. If you haven't read it you must!)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One trip I will never forget was one I took with my family to Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming, USA. I really got a new appreciation for nature and wildlife (I am a huge wildlife nut) and it was nice being free from technology for the 3 weeks I was there. I will never forget driving through a valley on our way home surrounded by thousands of wild buffalo, what an experience!

I hope to share and gain travel experiences with the people I meet. I want to learn and live the lifestyle and culture of the countries I stay in and hope that I can do the same for others. I want to make friends all across the world.
