About Me

Before you just notice that I do not accept guests and simply hit the back button,I like to take this opportunity to ask for your assistance in getting me started on this new Couch Surfing adventure.
At present my "hosting ability" is not very conducive.
Being a retired professional I relocated to Philippines in 2012 having the most fantastic dreams.
As misfortune struck I now find myself back in South Africa for a period of 3 years actively getting my bearings together to return to Philippines and restart my life there.
For the time being I am on Couch Surfing to connect with people and get new perspective on travelling.
So please be patient once back on track I will be hosting and continue my travel adventures.
Thank you for taking the time and helping me make this experience enjoyable.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Since 1996 I was a solo traveler literally in the true sense of the word, My goal was taking my DSLR get away for 3 weeks and came back home with loads of photographs. And that was all ....just forgotten photographs!
Coming into contact with Mary Jane from Italy I came to realize by going to exotic places and just clicking a shutter meant nothing.I missed out on so much.
I am a person who enjoy being with new people from different cultures so much, why did I never make use of the opportunity and share my culture,my experiences? Truly LIVED my travel experience?

My aim on Couch Surfing is not about free accommodation. Yes that is always appreciated but I want to interact with people, meet new friends, learn and experience local culture, cooking and ethics. Have a feel and understanding what the locals do and create a memorable travel experience.
That is my goal.I want to meet new people and share experiences and enrich others and also enrich myself with knowledge and experience.
