I'm an American guy living in South Africa for a couple of months a year.

The rest of the year I'm either home in NYC, or travelling around(business mostly).

I love travelling and meeting new people. I believe that we have to see as much of this beautiful planet as we can. So, if one can give people free accommodation... it makes it so much better.

1)Here's one tip I would like to give all people travelling or planning to travel to Africa. Find out before hand where your embassy is located, if possible go and tell them that you are visiting, where you are staying and how long your gonna be visiting for.

2) When visiting Africa, please remember your "yellow card" it's the card you get when you go for your shots at the travel clinic. .

3)When going for your shots, do it a couple of weeks before you leave, some of them does make you a little sick... you don't wanna be sick in Africa.

4)Most African countries charge a visa fee of $50(fifty)USD. Keep it with you. Make sure you have your Dollars when you arrive. When exchanging money in African countries... note this: new Dollars get a higher exchange rate then old notes.

5) When your gonna take a photo and there are people around..ask if you can photograph of them first. Some cultures get aggressive when you don't(Mwanza, Tanzania).

6) Remember only drink bottled water. Make sure the seal in still intact before you open it.
