ABOUT ME

I grew up in San Diego and have spent the past 6 years living in Hermosa Beach, CA. I decided that for 2012 and part of 2013, I wanted to travel the world to meet new people, experience new cultures, challenge myself and essentially broaden my perspective. I’m a very easy-going, genuine person who likes to stay active (beach volleyball, hiking, yoga, golf, etc...) and be social in my free time.

PHILOSOPHY

A couple quotes I've come across that I like:

-Waiting is a state of mind - it means you want the future, not the present...Just be and enjoy being.
-I wish I'd had the courage to live a life true to myself, not the life others expected of me.

Pretty open to all types. A fan of comedy movies (think Anchorman) and like all types of music depending on mood, though lean toward the Jack Johnson types. Trying to spend more time reading and always up for recommendations.

I'll have to think more about this one - taking up new sports such as volleyball I guess.

I'd like to travel to South America in 2012/2013 so would love to work on my Spanish skills again (and portuguese possibly) and in return provide English lessons.

I want to use this traveling time for myself to build and enhance who I am (mentally, physically, professionally, etc...) and try new pursuits related to local cultures (i.e. Tango dancing in Argentina)
